Appena pubblicato il numero di dicembre 2009 della rivista IL MIO VINO - USA, sulla quale compare l'articolo "David versus Goliath. Five Tuscan reds at less than $40 against one at $90. Siepi 2003 from Castello di Fonterutoli is a very ambitious wine that failed to impress as much as some other sangiovese and merlot-based reds from Tuscany".

Questa la scheda de IL MIO VINO dedicata a Villa Petriolo: "Petriolo is a picture postcard hilltop Tuscan farm set in 160 hectares of vines, olive trees, woods and parkland about 40 kilometers from Florence".

"Appearance: Purplish ruby red; Nose: Red fruits, mint and rose petals over black pepper; Palate: Balanced, almondy, nice tannin on the finish".
