Dear friends, I would like to inform you about the important events in which Tenuta di Fessina will take part in March.



Sicilia en primeur, Sorsi dell'Etna and Le contrade dell'Etna: three events dedicated to the valorisation of wine excellence in Sicily, during which our wines Etna DOC Erse vintage 2009 and Il Musmeci vintage 2008 will be presented in preview.

7th edition - SICILIA EN PRIMEUR 2010
Rocco Forte Verdura Golf e Spa Resort, Sciacca (Ag)

Organized by Assovini Sicilia, "Sicilia en primeur" is the International date to discover the latest creations of the Sicilian oenology.

Tasting of numerous wines and visit to the wine estates during the event, to promote the contact between the producers and the specialized press.

Tenuta di Fessina, the wine estate in Contrada Rovittello, on the Etna slopes, will offer the following wines:

- Etna DOC Il Musmeci vintage 2007
- Sicilia IGT Se… vintage 2008
- Etna DOC Erse vintage 2008

2nd edition - SORSI DELL’ETNA 2010

The wine tasting is organized by Cronache di Gusto and circolo Telimar di Palermo.
The new vintages will be presented.

3° edition - LE CONTRADE DELL’ETNA 2010
Shalai Resort di Linguaglossa/Cantina di Passopisciaro

On Sunday March 7th at the Shalai Resort in Linguaglossa, the three new cru wines by Andrea Franchetti will be presented. The dinner dedicated to the Press will be a real wine and gastronomic show.

Le Contrade dell’ Etna takes place at the Cantina di Passopisciaro, at 1,000 mt. of height. Here all the Etna producers present in preview the wines obtained in the ‘contrade’.

On March 8th, starting from 10 a.m.: the journalists are invited to a guided visit to the Etna vineyards, where they could taste 2009samples directly from the barrel, for each ‘contrada’.
Nerello Mascalese will be the protagonist of the event Le Contrade dell’ Etna 2010.
This varietal derives its name from the Mascali plain, and grows only on the Etna slopes, were the lava flows of the past have created different kinds of soil. Therefore the grapes of close vineyards are different one from the others. The ‘contrade’ are in the three commons of Linguaglossa, Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo.

At Le Contrade dell’Etna 2010 is possible to taste the following wines from Tenuta di Fessina:

- Etna DOC Il Musmeci vintage 2007
- Etna DOC Erse vintage 2008
